Born-and-raised in So Cal with a ridiculous amount of passion for music, mysticism, and the potential of young humans, I am proud to share my life’s lessons of resilience with youth all around the world.
Through my music + character-building lesson plans, instructional YouTube videos, and inspirational in-person workshops, I provide people like you from all 50 US states and 21countries with the support they crave so we can keep the spark that first inspired us to serve youth alive + glowing.
"You may say I'm a dreamer... but I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us... and the world will live as ONE."
"Imagine"
by John Lennon

The difference between ordinary + extraordinary is that little "extra"
^This quote is what sparked my fire to use music as a vehicle to inspire myself + others to consciously LEAD OUR LIVES. I was 13 years old. I’ve since spent almost 2 decades in the land of teaching music, leadership, team building, and personal growth to over 150,000 thousand students in 14 countries.
One of the things people ask me all the time is
"How in the world did you get started in all this?"
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with understanding what drives people’s behavior. I wanted to know what life experiences shaped our “triggers” and choices. Why is it that some people check out when they face adversity and others end up thriving and making a huge positive impact on the world? What can be done to support young people through these experiences so they know of an alternative to becoming another bitter, jaded adult in our world?
My right-brained interest in music, psychology, spirituality, graphic design, teaching, team-building, and leadership fuel my passion for this intentional work.
Once I began teaching in the classroom as a full-time credentialed teacher, it became more challenging to keep my own motivation up 100% of the time because I was exhausted. Not to mention, the beautiful, interactive, visual, inspirational lessons I had been weaving into all my work up until that point took time. Time, which I now had to spend in staff meetings that often times didn’t pertain to my subject area, piles of paperwork just to buy a $3 clarinet reed, and constantly connecting with my students’ parents. None of those things were why I wanted to teach music nor were they covered my college ed classes. [I'm sure you can relate.]
My whole life, people have told me I became an adult on my 6th birthday. When you put it that way, it doesn't seem so outlandish that I began teaching my first full music class (25 3rd grade recorder students) when I was in 7th grade. By the time I was legally old enough to have a business license, I had a full-blown after school percussion program in gear. At first, I was determined to give my students everything I wished my teachers had given me. It worked out great and I had very strong programs.
Then, I was humbled to learn that my teachers were doing the best they could in a broken system in a culture where music education isn't considered as essential as it was 200 or even 50 years ago. Now, I focus my attention on supporting teachers with everything I wished I had as a music teacher in the trenches.
I've got your back,
